If
you're having trouble with the installation
process for the Macintosh client software
or you are having problems getting into
SeduCity,first, here's a few basic rules:
IMPORTANT: THIS SOFTWARE WORKS WITH OS9
OPERATING SYSTEM AND OSX RUNNING IN CLASSIC
MODE. IT WILL NOT WORK WITH THE INTEL
MAC OR ANY VERSION OF OSX THAT CANNOT
RUN CLASSIC MODE UNLESS YOU RUN AN EMULATOR.
MORE ON THIS BELOW.
To
run the Seducity client on an Intel Mac,
you will need BootCamp, Parallels or XOM
and a copy of Windows XP. Here are some
sites with information on the subject:
http://onmac.net/
http://www.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/
if you are running an old browser, you
need to update you browser to version:
IE - 5.1 or Netscape - 7.
Still having problems? Delete all clients
you have installed by placing them in
the trash and emptying it.
1.
Open your IE 5.1 or Netscape 7 Browser.
2. Go to the Edit menu and down to select
Preferences.
3. Select the File Helpers under Receiving
Files.
4. When you find a file where you installed
the client, delete it, if there is more
then one of these delete them all.
5. Click ok.
6. Go to http://www.seducity.com/download_mac.htm
( if you haven't already got the installer
downloaded)
7. Reinstall a new copy of the client
from scratch, making sure you only install
it once and do not have any other earlier
copies of the client on your computer.
8. Once installed log back onto your account
at www.seducity.com
-----------------
If
the world does not open automatically,
you need to download that file sybfusion.cgi
to your desktop so it is saved there.
Then drag it into the application 'vzlaunch'
that is found in the folder you installed
(where the client is located). This will
then open up the worlds for you.
-----------------
If
the sybfusion.cgi file downloads to the
desktop but has no icon, restart your
computer holding the Apple and Option
keys until you get a message asking you
to rebuild your desktop, and click OK.
Try and log back in again.
-----------------
If
the sybfusion.cgi file won't drag and
drop on the vzlaunch application, make
sure your system software is up to date
. You need CarbonLib updated if it's not.
You update your OS by going to control
panels and selecting Software Update.
-----------------
If
you are using the IE browser but cannot
enter, try logging on with Netscape. To
do this you need to:
Log
on as usual, when asked what to do with
the file sybfusion.cgi, click the button
to choose and select the program "vzlaunch"
which can be found in the folder you installed.
Click the OK button, then click OK again
on the next window. This will then load
the file correctly and get you into the
worlds.
