Seducity
has a unique economy, unlike many other Virtual Worlds.
Read below for more details!
The Token: The base of the Seducity Economy. Needed for Vendroids,
and purchase of other items sold inworld. To split, click on the token
while you are holding it and select "Split", then enter
a value. Once you have split your tokens, the amount you input will
remain in your hand. The rest will automatically return to your pocket.
You do not need to split or hold tokens while buying things from vendos,
it automatically does it when you choose "buy this item"
from a vendroid.
   
ATM: Automatic Token Machine. These can be found
in various places throughout Seducity. You will receive 150 tokens
each hour with a cap of 800 tokens a day, per avatar. You can chose
to withdraw tokens (see animation), "Request Balance". Request
balance will only show you how many tokens you possess in the ATM.
You can Deposit tokens into your ATM for safe keeping. To deposit
you must have tokens in hand.
Vendo/Vendroid: Vendos are in a variety of shapes
and sizes. Some vendos are squared/rounded, some circular, some self
vendos. When at a vendo with others, be kind and wait for others to
finish before you turn (View Next/Previous). The price of the item
is shown at the top of the menu. To buy the item shown, click "Buy
this item". To view other items in the vendo, click "View
next/previous item".
Pawn machine: From this machine, you may choose to
sell your items for tokens. To do this, while holding the item you
wish to pawn, click on the pawn machine and select "Sell Item".
Your item will be pawned, and you will receive tokens. Pawn Machines
will only return 80% of an items original purchase price. Example,
you buy a hat for 100T, a few months later you pawn it, you will only
get 80T back. Also Please note that monthly prize items, event items
and turf furnishings, will usually only return between 1T and 9T.
(Unless otherwise stated). THIS ITEM IS NO LONGER RECOVERABLE. To
check how much an item is worth, click "Appraise". It will
tell you how many tokens you can receive for that item, it will not
pawn the item until you click "Sell Item".
 
Put Into/Get From Pocket: These options are available
when you need to get something from your pocket (when you click on
your avatar) or put something into it. *Note: You do not need to "Get
From Pocket, Tokens" to buy an item from a vendo. Or you can
select "Show more.." to see what is inside a chest without
having to open it on the ground to retrieve an item.
Show
More...: From here, you can retrieve an item from a head
or a chest without taking it from your pocket. It will only show two
levels, it will NOT show what is inside a chest inside a chest.
Give To: To transfer an item between one avatar and
another, simply have the item in hand and click the receiving avatar
then click "Give to" to hand it to them. Be careful when
clicking on someone while you are holding an item, that you don't
accidentally click "Give To"! When making a trade/sale,
page a citizen or contact a trusted member for assistance to be the
'middle man' if you don't trust the other avatar. Items in which are
lost due to someone not paying for them or an accidental "Give
To" can not be replaced by staff. So use caution.
